Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity

Words That Changed the World

Carl Wilkinson, illustrations by James Weston-Lewis

Broken into 10 bite-sized chapters, this step-by-step journey through Einstein’s mind takes his original manuscripts and makes them accessible to budding scientists everywhere. Carl Wilkinson eloquently shows how Einstein came to write the most famous equation in history that changed the world forever. His ideas about everything from tiny atoms to the light from distant stars revolutionised science and made us see the universe differently. He also became one of the very first global celebrities and his unusual, rebellious personality challenged the way people around the world thought about themselves and the planet on which we all live.

This brilliant new book is richly illustrated throughout by James Weston-Lewis and is perfect for all young readers aged 8+.

Carl Wilkinson is a writer and editor with over 20 years’ experience.

James Weston Lewis graduated in 2007 from the University of West England, where he focused on woodcut and linocut printmaking. His background in this area heavily influences his illustration, which combines simple block colours with intricate detail.
