Each page has been carefully created by Alan Kitching in collaboration with Angus Hyland, making this book a work of typographic art in its own right.

Presented as an A to Z, the individual letters are divided by full alphabets, giving the reader access to a large range of founts to reference in their own work.

Alan Kitching is a world-renowned typographer, designer, and, letterpress practitioner. He began teaching typography as a visiting lecturer at the Royal College of Art in London and taught there until 2006. In 1989 Alan set up The Typography Workshop, producing highly evocative graphic images through wood and metal type, relief printing processes, and an assortment of presses. As well as limited-edition prints, Alan’s work has featured on magazine and book covers, postage stamps, theater posters, billboards, and signage.
